We currently use Easy Access 5.x. Is Easy Access 6.0 an upgrade of this program or a new program altogether? With significant functionality added, such as the Dashboard and with Rental Data transactions, it is more than an upgrade. Please refer to the ‘What’s new’ document for details.
-
What’s the difference between 5.x & 6?The main difference is that you can now import Rental Data in a similar manner as you can with the Sales Data (on a monthly basis) – if you choose to subscribe to it. Furthermore, the Dashboard and graphical evaluation of Sale and Rental records is a major addition.
-
What are the costs? Please see the cost summary table below for annual costs. Below you can see the cost for up to 4 users. For every additional installation we charge $85 administration costs per year. Included in this model are ongoing support and regular updates with enhancements, based on feedback from the client base.
-
Does the subscription cost include GST?No GST is charged. A tax invoice will be sent to you after purchase.
-
Does 6.0 work in the same way as 5.x (ie. A monthly data import)?Yes, we deliberately kept its navigation as much as possible the same as 5.x. It changed a little bit cosmetically. Sales data can be imported on a monthly (or fortnightly) basis, Rental Data as well if you subscribe to it
-
Is there an additional subscription fee for the import data or is that cost included in the annual product subscription? No, there is no additional fee for importing Rental data. For annual subscription costs of the Rental Data please refer to Cost Summary table above. You will receive a monthly file for import into Easy Access. This service is included in the subscription fee.
-
Who supplies the Rental Data? The Rental Data is supplied by REINT, distributed by CodeKitchen as some data cleaning has to be done before it’s distributed to the subscribers.
-
Who supplies the Sales Data? The Sale Data is supplied by the Northern Territory Government, Lands and Planning of the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics. Please contact them for questions in relation to subscription conditions and pricing.
-
Is 5.x being superseded?Yes, 5.2 and 5.5 are superseded and not supported anymore.
-
Can I import data from my older versions of Easy Access (5.2 or 5.5.)?Yes, Easy Access Version 6.0 gives you the opportunity to import all data from 5.x into 6.0, when you open Easy Access Version 6.0 for the first time, so your existing data is preserved and used straight away in the new version.

Is this still using the access 2010 runtime module? We can include a MS Access runtime in the install package, the one that fits your Office version. As you probably know, you only need access runtime if MS Access is not installed on a workstation as part of the Office package. Normally we are not installing runtime automatically because it can interfere with a full version of MS Access installed on a PC. What we can do is deliver the runtime as part of the install (into the EA Admin subfolder) and you can then trigger the install yourself as and when needed.

Is there an upgrade process or is it just install the new software on each computer? It is not an upgrade as such, it is a new install on each computer. However, you have the opportunity to import existing data from the older versions (5.2 or 5.5) into this new Version 6.0, when you start the system the first time. There is an extensive Installation Guide provided with the system which describes individual standalone install and client-server install.
